Sky Betting & Gaming is for the first time set to host its very own Gaming and Grill Festival, aimed entirely at its 1,000 strong workforce.
Video games, dj beats and festival eats are just some of what the hard-working colleagues can expect to find as the company takes a unique spin on its end of Summer party, in collaboration with iPlayGaming, the UK’s biggest gaming and grill festival organisers.
Events and Communications Executive, Claire Pittaway, said:
"The SBG Gaming and Grill Festival is the first event of its kind to take place at Sky Betting & Gaming, and comes on the back of employee feedback, who tell us about their hobbies and interests. Couple that with the fact we’re actively encouraged to change-the-game every day, I was eager to come up with a fun concept that’s never been done before."
Canal Mills, a former warehouse which is fast becoming one of Leeds’s most popular venues, will be transformed with consoles new and old, competition areas and old arcade machines for what’s set to be a game-changing staff party for gaming geeks.
Every Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo console will be set up for attendees to play as they go head to head against their peers in fun and competitive leagues to find the best gamers.
Those less excited by retro gaming, will be able to test their rock star talent with karaoke, dance mats or get involved in socialising at the bar or soaking it all up, street food style.
